And great shall be the peace of your children. Isaiah 54:13 (NKJV)
The Life Academy of Excellence was established in 1982 to provide an alternative to secular education and provide a place where children could be taught Godly principles in a loving, safe, non-restricted environment.
The goal of The Life Academy of Excellence is to motivate students to achieve excellence in education and Godly character; thereby producing well-rounded, productive members of society.
The Life Academy of Excellence offers a quality Christian education in a warm, friendly atmosphere. The purpose of this school is to give Christian training along with a solid academic foundation in the basic fundamentals of learning for the average and above-average child. Academic standards are high with added emphasis on patriotism and character training.
PRIMARY K-2nd
In the primary grades the core curriculum of instruction in Bible, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies and handwriting fosters the major goal of teaching students how to read and learn. In these early grades we want them to experience school as meaningful and enjoyable. Physical education is also a part of the instruction on a weekly basis.
The A BEKA Reading Curriculum places strong emphasis in the integration of phonics, vocabulary, reading comprehension, creative writing, spelling and listening skills. Instruction in cursive writing begins at K5. Manipulatives help introduce math concepts and are reinforced through oral and written application and drill. Instructional strategies, including “hands-on” learning, “center” activities, and thematic units of study are all used in areas of the curriculum. A joy and love of reading is highly encouraged.
Special instruction in other activities, enrich the student’s classroom learning. Chapel is held weekly to emphasize the importance of worship and to reinforce Biblical teachings.
